Simulated Game Shooting
Enjoy the thrill and excitement of a simulated game day, replicating every aspect of game shooting.
A simulated shoot day is organised in the same manner as a traditional game day, with the added enjoyment of shooting during the summer months. It is an ideal way to spend a day with friends, entertaining clients or keeping your eye in for the upcoming season. It also offers an brilliant introduction to game shooting for newcomers to the sport.
Our shoot is set in easily accessible rural Essex, just a few miles south of Colchester and with very quick access to the A12, A120 and Marks Tey railway station. We have some lovely countryside and interesting topography which produces exciting shooting. Much of the Estate has evolved around shooting, with mature woodland and cut rides maintained specifically for the purpose.
We tailor each day to the participants’ wishes and abilities to ensure enormous fun for experienced and novice guns alike. Whether you would like to join us for a full day or a morning, afternoon or evening, we believe we can guarantee you excitement and great entertainment. Don’t worry if you have not shot clay pigeons before. Nicholas and his team will explain exactly how everything works and what to do.
As with live bird shooting the day is based around a number of ‘drives’ of clay pigeons. Those shooting stand in a line a safe distance apart whilst clays are fired over them. The combination of drives can be endless, from simulated high pheasants and partridges through to traditional partridge and grouse clays. Clay pigeons are issued by remote control from state-of-the-art equipment and we are able to manipulate the clays to fly over particular guns and in different directions in order that all participants get equal shooting opportunity.
